Casalbordino

Casalbordino is a small hilltop village that has retained its medieval layout and all the charm of a hamlet. Strolling through the streets of the town, one savours the atmosphere of times gone by until arriving at the fortified village, a square construction with four towers dating back to the late 13th century, later renovated and enlarged. From the hill of Santo Stefano there is a magnificent view of the coast, where seaside tourism is concentrated.

The Lido di Casalbordino is the favourite place for those who love the beautiful sea and beach holidays. The coastline, which here is wide and retains all the qualities of the Adriatic coast, has its own distinctive element with a special charm in its uniqueness. We are in fact on the Costa dei Trabocchi, famous for its natural beauty and the variety of its landscape. The name derives from the absolutely characteristic constructions, the 'trabocchi', located on the seashore and once used for fishing.

Not far away, you can also take a leap into nature by visiting the Punta Aderci nature reserve. Casalbordino is certainly a candidate to be one of the best places to spend a holiday by the sea, especially if you stay in the campsites and villages in the area, where excellent services are combined with the pleasure of being able to fully enjoy the natural environment.
