There is no better choice than Roseto for a holiday; this small Abruzzo town has kilometres of sandy beach and a 6 km long promenade, with the crystalline sea that invites you in for a bathe or invigorating swim. The tourist vocation of the ancient Rosburgo, Rose Hamlet, dates way back, and in the 20s it was a very popular tourist resort, and since then has remained a favourite for holidays in Abruzzo. However, it is not just the sea and sand to attract tourists to Roseto, but also the excellent accommodation, especially the camp sites and holiday villages with excellent standard facilities.
Sports lovers must attend the international basketball tournament the Lido delle Rose Trophy, which has been held every summer since 1945 and is the oldest in Europe.
If you want to discover the natural and architectural beauties, you can visit the nearby hamlet of Montepagano, with its breath-taking view, or visit the numerous parks and hamlets scattered
around the area.
